Most of the major hospitals will have
specific staff to help you. The nursing staff will tell you at the
time who to contact and when. It would be sensible to contact your
funeral director as soon as you feel ready, so that advice can be
given about what needs to be done and where you need to go. Usually
the deceased will rest at the hospital until the correct forms are
completed by the medical staff.
